Imagine a world where friendships remain youthful, and families stay together a little longer. For the Saving tiny Hearts Society (StHS), this is a world without Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), which causes abnormalities to develop in the heart before birth. StHS is passionately committed to eliminating the number one birth defect worldwide as a major health concern.
Since 2006, StHS has been working to fulfill its mission of allocating money to initiate life-saving research on congenital heart defects. This grassroots funding bridges valuable research to millions of dollars of extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other outside endowments. By providing financial assistance to revolutionary research, this non-profit organization expands and enhances the lives of countless children born with CHD. StHS has proudly raised and granted nearly $2 million and funded thirty (30) research projects, making it one of the most efficient non-profit organizations in the United States.
Dr. Wold serves as an active member on the Board of Directors and is one of the significant driving forces behind this incredible organization. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Whether you know someone with CHD or another disease, we all know someone who is affected. Join Dr. Wold and the rest of the StHS in innovating the field of cardiology by getting involved. For more information on StHS, please visit their website by clicking the button below.
